Who is Richard?

A boy with a dream, a big heart and an open mind!

Growing up Richard always searched for the magic in the everyday. He would often be found ‘stuck to the hip’ of an adult who he believed could pass down the many wisdoms of the world. If not there, he would most certainly be out in a ‘secret hut / den’ that he built with friends.

A lover of sport, competition and cereal box opportunities, Richard found his true love in art class. A space that nurtured resilience, and allowed him to connect with and celebrate a world of many differences.

School was always a place of discovery and negotiation. While Richard maintained good grades, you would most likely find him in the staff room questioning the teachers about the justness of the school rules.

At home, Richard grew up as a ‘middle child’ with two creative and entrepreneurial parents. Today, Richard has received his BA(hons) and MFA in Art alongside a PGDip in Business in Cultural Event Management.

Richard is an Artist, Educational Photographer and Cultural Engineer. His work has been supported by both Public and Private bodies such as Culture Ireland and the Arts Council of Ireland. He has also exhibited alongside leading international practitioners such as José González, Bill Viola and Oscar Nominated Screen Composer John Powell.
